Dark smoky eyes don’t have to feel heavy – it’s all about how you build and balance them 👀
For this look, I started by placing depth first using Onyx ShadowSense + Onyx Glitter ShadowSense, keeping the darker tones focused on the lid and outer corner. Instead of blending that darkness all the way up, I diffused the edges with French Toast ShadowSense to soften the transition through the crease.
The biggest difference, though, is adding light back in. Using Pearl Glow Glowify Shadow Stick on the inner corner, waterline, and brow bone keeps the eyes lifted and prevents the look from feeling too dark or closed in.
I kept liner minimal (just Black EyeSense Pencil smudged along the waterline) and skipped a heavy upper liner to keep everything balanced, finishing with Black FiberExtend Mascara for definition.
Paired with a soft neutral lip, the final look feels polished and wearable – even with a deeper smoky eye ✨
